Peacefully, at the age of 98 years, Maria passed away with her loved ones holding her hand as she entered into Eternity to join her husband Antonio. Dear mother of Douglas Amaya, Alvaro Amaya (Bettina), Rene Amaya (Tani), Argentina Amaya, Mercedes Amaya (Carlos), Mirna Guerrero (Antonio), Yolanda Amaya, and Marisol Arends (Bill). Also remembered by 17 grand-children and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends and relatives will be received at Westmount Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 7-9 p.m.
Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's RC Church, Kitchener on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Thomas Vermiglio officiating. Interment in Williamsburg Cemetery.
