He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Patti (Lewis) and loving children Christopher (Jo) and Tina, grandchildren Rachel, Seth, Amy, and Samantha, and great granddaughter Amelia. Special brother to Addy (Crystal). He will also be missed by his many friends, but especially Deb, Sandy, John, Mary, Janet, and Mark.
As a prominent businessman and owner of Scancolour for many years, Marty was very active in the community. In his twilight years, he had the opportunity to pursue his passion for real estate and really enjoyed his time at Team Realty.
Marty was a sports enthusiast who loved golf, curling and soccer. He was a member of the KW Granite Club (and Detroit Exchange) and Foxwood Golf Club, and played soccer for Concordia Club until age 50.
Marty was such a fun-loving person who always brought his smile and humour to whatever he was doing. Remembering him will be easy, carrying on without him is unimaginable.
Cremation has taken place. Marty’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m., where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, 911 Queen’s Blvd., Kitchener, ON N2M 1B2, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2 – 1373 Victoria St. N., Kitchener, ON N2B 3R6.
