Mary Busgos

1926 – 2017

Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Alex on October 2, 2015. Upon first arriving in Canada in 1951, she worked with her husband at Scotts Shoe Factory in Galt. She then worked at a textile mill and finally helped her husband operate Alex’s Shoe Repair until retirement. She is survived by her son John, a sister Vivian Hatges from Toronto, a brother Gus Sprialis from Australia, and 2 nephews Peter and Tom Hatges from Toronto. She will be dearly missed by her many friends. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Rd., Kitchener, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:30 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
