Born in Jodhpur to Jogender Nath and Sudesh Sabharwal, Meenakshi built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the kindness she extended to everyone around her.
Meenakshi is deeply loved and survived by her husband Rajesh, her children Subeer (Melinda) and Smriti (Mike), and her cherished grandchildren Amelia and Carter, who brought immense joy into her life.
She is also survived by her siblings Rakesh (Rashmi), Girish (Archana), Jugesh (Madhu), and Neelam (Harish); brothers-in-law Vijay and Arun (Rashmi); sisters-in-law Renu, Vini (Naveen, deceased), and Annu (Rakesh); and by her many nieces and nephews: Charu, Vishal, Geetika, Chirag, Yasmin, Nikita, Divya, Jai (deceased), Geetanjali, Vani, Amrit, Richa, Neha, Abeer, Siddharth, Salil, Srijan, and Madhav.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., with a sharing of memories by the family at 2:00 p.m.
Friends, family, and members of the community are invited to come together to honour her memory and the legacy she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Meenakshi’s name to Lisaard House, whose compassionate care brought her comfort in her final moments; House of Friendship, an organization to which she dedicated the last six years of her life; or the WRHN Foundation (formerly Grand River Hospital Foundation).
