Born on July 28, 1957 in Sudbury, Ontario, Pat lived a life marked by his strength and his unwavering love and support for his family. His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him — especially Angela, his beloved wife of 43 years, and two daughters Samantha (Greg), and Taylor (Matt). Pat is now reunited with his late son Matthew, whose memory he carried with him every day.
Pat will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Melissa (Mark) and Michael (Kelly), and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Roman, Leila, Wyatt, and Nathaniel, who brought him infinite joy. Whether it was playing catch and watching the Blue Jays with Roman, reading stories with Leila, dancing in the living room with Wyatt, or snuggling baby Nathaniel, Pat poured his whole heart into being a grandparent. His grandchildren will always remember bath time serenades, mini math quizzes, and his unique mix of silliness and warmth.
An avid golfer who had a deep appreciation for history, Shakespeare, and music, Pat had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Anyone who knew Pat knew his presence filled a room with his booming voice, quick wit, and relentless humor. His advice was sound, his stories unforgettable. Pat’s spirit will live on in the memories, lessons, and laughter he shared with all of us.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 9 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Foxwood Golf Club (2777 Erbs Road, Baden). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (or a charity of your choosing) in honour of Pat.
