On Monday, December 25th, 2023, at 5:48 a.m., Raymond Lorne Ralph, born September 4th, 1949 in Port de Grave, Newfoundland, peacefully passed away with his family by his side into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Lorne was raised in a small fishing community, where he lived until his move to Ontario at age 20. Lorne was a precious husband, loving father, proud Papa, and cherished brother. He is now free from the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s disease. Lorne lived out his faith with strength, endurance, as well as love and compassion for others. His faith, through adversity, was unwavering. Lorne invested decades in ministering to the sick, elderly, and hurting. He was available to them through house calls, running errands, and transporting them to wherever they needed to go. He dedicated countless years serving on his church board. He loved his work and the many friendships he made at Colonial Cookies over 25 years, before an early retirement due to his disease. He enjoyed trips with his family to Eastern Canada, Myrtle Beach, and Florida. The Toronto Blue Jays was his favourite sports team. He enjoyed many games at the Skydome with family and friends.
Thank you to Dr. A Sefin, Care Partners Palliative Care, K-W Home Care, Bayshore Home Care & Aswin Mathai, special friend & caregiver.
Lorne is survived by his devoted wife Linda of 49 years, daughter Lynette Bartos (Samuel), son Lee (Anna); and his four grandchildren – Samuel, Annlee, Canasia, and Simon; his sister Violet Peckham (George), brother Calvin (Gwen), and twin brother Charles (Sandra), as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Susannah Kennedy Ralph, his infant daughter Lee-Ann Joy, his sister Ruby Bowering, and his father Lewis Raymond Ralph.
