So very sad to hear about "Haggy" as my Dad called him. They were best fishing buddies and I remember him fondly, such a nice guy. Last time I saw him was at Dad's funeral a few years ago. Dad always talked about Ray and their many fishing adventures, and I'm sure they are together again fishing poles in hand. I can't tell you how sad I felt to hear this news.
My deepest condolences to the family in this difficult time, and the world is surely a lesser place without Haggy. R.I.P.

My deepest sympathies in hearing about the passing of Ray, I always remembered him from my childhood as such a nice man. I'm thankful that I had a chance to talk to him and reminisce when I saw him at my Father's Celebration of life.

Judy ,Duane,Teena,Darlene and family.Please accept our deep heartfelt condolences.Ray to me,when I first met him in 1982 through Duane,was a good man of few words, who  lead by example.Always busy either making sure Duane finished his dinner(s)  : ) ,or around the house ,or outside,usually in the garden ,and staying on top of his perfect lawn. As years went by I would drive by the house on way to the golf course,or on way  work at the college,and see him in his chair in the garage.I guess Duane's prophetic words to me not so long ago came true. I would say to Duane , "ya drove by the house ,saw dad on the chair again". He said right then, "he will likely pass away in that chair he is in it so much !That's his favorite chair" Many more memories but not enough space to write  :) 
    Rest in peace Ray, from a man who respects,and looked up to you growing up as a great father figure.

Dear Judy & Family:
You have my deepest sympathy. Ray left us all with such fond memories of good times. He was such a good neighbour when we lived on Old Mill Rd. Larry and Ray cooking the pig for the pig roast, 
the many bon fires we sat around, wild game dinners, pool parties,
wobble board sing-a-longs, just to mention a few.

My memory of my last 2 visits to the Hagedorn residence....in the last few weeks.
Uncle Ray putzing in the kitchen.  I didn't look if he was drying dishes or making something to eat as I passed through.
And the week before that, he, in his chair, in the garage, just enjoying the day, surrounded by things he loved.  Trimmed plants ready to winter, his newfound wheels this year, likely some apples on the table that had been dropped off by a friend and a whole lot more in that space he surely loved.
It's so hard to imagine he has left his place here with us, but take comfort in the thought he knew and was thankful for the rich life he enjoyed with family (including his recently lost brother and sister),  friends, neighbours and co-workers from years passed.
He will be missed and remembered and, hopefully in time, the memories will bring us all some measure of comfort and appreciation for a life well-lived.

My condolences to the Hagedorn family. I have fond memories living across the street from the Hagedorns. Ray was always willing to throw a truckload of inner tubes in the back of his pickup and drive us up the river to tube back home.  Rest in peace Ray.
