Ross Douglas Eidt

Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 at home surrounded by his family; he was 72 years old. Cherished husband of Sandra (Miehm) for 50 years. Dear father of Doug (Michelle), Robin (Mikki), Melissa (Travis) Marriott, Joel (Laura), Samantha (Tony), Tyler (Mary), Courtney (Chris) and Kirby. Loving Grandpa of Brody, Brianna, Kyle, Nicole, P.J., Spencer, Nathan, Erin, Evan, Travis, Daniella, Alex, Tanner, Jaiden, and Zane. Great Grandpa to Liam, Kierran, and Malakai. Joe was one of fourteen children born to Lydia and Conrad Eidt in Hanover, Ontario; a special thank you to Eileen Bailey whom Joe always felt to be like a second mother. He was a friend of Bill Wilson for 33 years; and an employee of Weston’s Bakery for 27 years. He will also be sadly missed by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 27 from 7-9 p.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. S, Kitchener); a memorial service will be held March 28 in the funeral home chapel at 3:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish society of St. Vincent De Paul or the Arthritis Foundation.
