She leaves behind her treasured daughter Nina Wootten, brother Jack Froemchen (MaryJoe) and sister Connie Caccamo (Joe). Sabine is predeceased by her parents Max and Gertrud Froemchen.
Sabine also leaves behind her many friendships she developed through her love for bridge, as a board member for the condo complex where she lived, her volunteering with Scouting which allowed her to be part of an organization that helps kids and youth chart their own path of discovery and her involvement with the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW – Kitchener –Waterloo) which she was instrumental in the annual book sale fundraiser to help support human rights, and advancement of girls and women through scholarships and advocacy.
Sabine had many adventures starting with spending 1 year of high school in Berlin and travelling around Canada on her motorcycle (in the late 1960’s). She went on sailing trips in the Caribbean, around Hawaii and had a sailboat on Lake Ontario. Sabine travelled to many countries but her favorite trips were the trip to Tunisia with her Mom, a trip to Berlin with her sister (Sabine was born in Berlin and it is where her parents immigrated to Canada from) and the 3 months she spent overlanding in Africa.
Sabine’s adventures have ended after succumbing to her second battle of cancer.
