Savay Chanthavong passed away with his family by his side at St Mary's Hospital in Kitchener on Sunday December 2, 2012. A beloved husband of Bee, a strong and loving father to Say, Vannitha, and Tony, and an endearing grandfather to Ryerson, Newton, and Ellyse. Savay was a strong man, a jack of all trades, and a proud father who immigrated his family to Canada from Laos for a better future in 1984. Savay will always be remembered by his family back in Laos, and his many many friends all over the world.
Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South on Thursday, December 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and on Friday, December 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Bhuddist Ceremony will be held at the Westmount Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 8 at 12:30 p.m. with cremation to follow at Parkview Cemetery & Crematorium.
