Predeceased by her husband Douglas (1990). Dearest mother to Sheila Turco (Shawn) and Alan Brown. Mother-in-law to Kevin Phelan and predeceased by her daughter Lesley (2019).
Beloved Nanny to Candice Phelan (Lee), Erin Hustler, Jennifer Stark (Cory), Adam Hustler, Scott Phelan (Tyneille) and Meaghen Hustler (Robert “RJ”). Great-grandmother to Autumn, Colton, Scott, Mason, Oliver and Elora.
Thomasina is also survived by her brother George Somerville of Scotland. She is predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Morris (2017).
Thomasina was quite content living a quiet life with the simple pleasures. From crossword puzzles to a good murder mystery novel to enjoying a quiet weekend watching tennis or golf on the television. In recent years, she enjoyed travelling across Canada with family; and in the late 90’s she fulfilled an item on her bucket list by journeying, on her own, to Peru.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th from 6-8 pm at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener. Please note: due to the closure of Ottawa St. and Westmount Road, access into the funeral home is on Westmount Road, right beside the Tim Horton’s entrance.
