Valerie Colombo

May 11th, 1944 - March 14th, 2022

At St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario on Monday March 14th, 2022, Valerie Colombo passed away peacefully in her bed at the age of 77 years old surrounded by her loved ones.

Born May 11th, 1944 in Belfast, Ireland daughter of the late Andy & Mina Rea, she will always be remembered for her bright smile and unconditional love to those around her. Joined in heaven by her loving husband of 57 years Sergio Colombo. Loved deeply by her daughters Michele Colombo, and Lori Parsons. Beloved Grammy to Kaitie Colombo(Jon), Kyle Colombo (Bryanne), and Taylor Parsons. Reunited with her loving Brother Bobby Rea, sister Mary Killen né Rea and niece Kimberly O’Brien. Survived by siblings Margaret Spence, Jean Bates, Andrew Rea, and Violet Albuery. Dearly missed by Mary & Bobby Brown, Karen Peer(Michael), and Craig Brown. Beloved Aunt Valerie to Jaclyn O’Brien, Gavin O’Brien, Nathan Watkins, Matthew Brown, Isaac Brown, Miah Peer & Avery Peer. Fondly remembered by her Brother-in-law Mark Colombo (Franca), Nieces Daniela Colombo (Frank), Erica Colombo (Rob) and their kids. Loved by all of her extended family in England & Italy, wonderful friends, and colleagues from TD Bank.

For those of us fortunate enough to have Valerie in our lives, she made every room she was in a little brighter. She cared deeply for everyone in her life and will be remembered for the unconditional love she shared. Remembered as the life of the party, and always singing or dancing when an opportunity presented itself. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The family will receive friends for Memorial Visitation at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, Kitchener (519)-743-8900 on Saturday March 26th from 12-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm with a reception following. The family has requested in honor of Valerie that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
