Wayne David Karges

Remembering him with love are his wife Gaye, daughters Nicole (Ryan) and Jen and son Scott, his sister Donna Helm (Roger) as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered fondly by Gaye's children, Tracy Hilpert and Greg Hahn, and their spouses and children. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, Leonard and Jean Karges, and his brother Doug. Wayne was born and raised in Kitchener and worked as manager at several Brewers Retail stores in KW and surrounding area for many years. He golfed at Rockway for several years, and in Florida, where he and Gaye spent many winters with their "Florida family". There are many happy memories of bike trips in Europe, holidays in the US and Canada and visits west to visit with Gaye's family. We wish to thank the medical staff in the Trauma emergency and ICU that looked after Wayne and us so well and so compassionately as we went through this terrible time. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 1 - 4 p.m. A light lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m. with memory sharing starting at 2:30 p.m. In honour of Wayne, please wear a ball cap.
