Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at St. Mary’s Hospital on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the age of 79 years. Beloved father of Jennifer Hannam (Rob), Brenda Griffin (Guy Accordino), and Jaime Bleich (Stace). Husband of Bonnie Griffin. Loved grandfather of Zoey, Carson, Mattea, Ayla, Mya, Logan, and Kiley. Born in Rockford, Illinois, Bill was a Catholic priest with the Augustinian Order, prior to his arrival in Canada in 1974. He was an owner/operator with United Taxi for 25 years. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Bill’s dream was fulfilled when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016! The family would like to thank his dear friend Betty for her continued friendship and support. Cremation has taken place and a private time of remembrance has been held by the family. If desired, memorial donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice.
