Alice S. Baird, age 88, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024 at NHC Farragut with her daughter by her side. She was born on May 24, 1936 in Norton, Virginia. Alice was a devout Methodist by faith and had a love and devotion to God. Alice had been a substitute teacher of Kindergarten and always had a love for children. She worked at Walmart for several years which is where she retired. She devoted her life to her children, family, and friends across the country. She was loved by all no matter where she was. She was a true angel on earth.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, William L. Baird; father, Allen Daniel Snyder; mother, Ella Mercedes Veley; and step-mother, Bonnie Terry Snyder.
She is survived by son, William L. Baird III and wife, Deborah K. Baird of PA; daughter, Bonnie J. Baird of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, W. Peter Baird and Joshua M. Baird; great-grandson, Leo Baird. She had family and friends all over the country and was loved by all.
