

Amy Michelle Hope, 51, passed away on March 16, 2026. Born on February 24, 1975, Amy lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and a deep love for her family and community. She was a devoted wife and member of both her Lynchburg and Knoxville church families, where she faithfully served in the Children’s Ministry, touching the lives of many young people with her warmth and compassion.
Amy had a joyful spirit and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, caring for animals—especially her beloved dog, Joy—collecting dolls, and going to the movies. Her gentle nature and generous heart made her a cherished presence wherever she went.
She was deeply involved in her community, dedicating her time to volunteering at the local library and senior center in Lynchburg. Amy’s willingness to serve others reflected her selfless character and genuine care for those around her.
Amy will be lovingly remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, granddaughter, and cousin. Her love, kindness, and unwavering faith leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Annie Berry Reynolds and Geneva Hankins; grandfathers, Clyde Berry, George Riley, Rex Hankins and Alan Reynolds; aunts, Barbara Haney and Becky Berry; uncle, Tim Berry and niece, Adrianna Coffin.
Amy is survived by husband, Travis Hope; parents, Dale and Kathy Berry; sister, Annie (Chad) Coffin; in-laws, Joseph and Sara Hope; grandmother, Charlotte Riley; nephews, Alex Coffin, Tyler Crawford, Phoenix Crawford, Andrew Shelton and Brenen Womack; nieces, Sara Grace Boleware, Hope Buchanan, and Josie Shelton; aunts, Tammy (Brad) Oxendine, Tonya Berry, Donna Berry, Gay (Hobie) Clapp, and Lisa Warren; uncles, Hank (Beth) Burnette, Scott (Jane) Burnette, Mark (Lisa) Berry, Victor (Tamara) Berry, Marty (Leanne), and Mickey Berry; sisters-in-law, Kellie (Dean) Sandefur and Amy (Brandon) Hope; great aunts, Kaye (David) Huskey and Susan (Leo) Brintnall; great uncles, James (Becky) Burress, Garry (Linda) Long, and Mike Long. She also leaves behind many cousins and extended family.
The family invites friends for a Visitation on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5pm-7pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery at 1pm for a Graveside Service on Friday, March 20, 2026.
