SANDS, ANNIE MAE - age 68, of Knoxville, passed away August 18, 2014 after a lingering illness at Tennova Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Ray Sands; parents, brother, and sisters. Survived by daughters, Patti Crawford and Carolyn Coats; four grandchildren, Billy, Steven, Westley, and Erica; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Bertie; brother, Lee J.; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all Annie's doctors, nurses, and caregivers for their help. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel at 1:00 pm Friday to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for 1:30 pm graveside service with Rev. Ronald Mouser officiating.
