Anthony Richard Collins, age 77, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord January 30,2025. Anthony was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, where he served as Assistant Pastor, Ministry Assistant, and Sunday School teacher. He has served at several churches in the area and nursing homes. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Preceded in death by parents, Conley and Helen Collins; 2 sisters and 1 brother; and son-in-law, Dwayne Sanders. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty Collins; daughters, Lisa Collins Sanders, Ladene Collins Cannon (Eddie), and Ladette Collins Kerr (Morgan); grandchildren, Madison, Elizabeth, Hannah, Baylor, Andrew, Anthony and Abigail; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Debbie Flatford, Stan Collins, Vickie Stevens (Anthony), and Cindy Vardaman; and several nieces and nephews.
A Receiving of Friends will be held Saturday, February 8th from 5pm - 7pm, with a Memorial Service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, located at 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918.
