Barbara Jean (Roach) Whitt

Barbara Jean (Roach) Whitt, age 86, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. She was a dedicated Christian and faithful member of Sharon Baptist Church, Knoxville. Barbara was born December 10, 1938 and raised in Jefferson City, TN. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1956. She then graduated from the University of Tennessee and received her Masters degree from Union College in Barbourville, KY. Barbara was a dedicated teacher for 37 years at Carter High School, Strawberry Plains, TN and a lifelong student of the Bible.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Konrad Whitt. She is survived by son, Stephen ( Missy) Whitt of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Susan Huffaker of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Emma Whitt of Lexington, KY; grandson, Joel Huffaker of Knoxville, TN; brother, Harold Dean (Jean) Roach of Melbourne, FL; and other extended family.

A graveside service for Barbara will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918 with Rev. Mark McCoig officiating.
