HARMON, BETTY L. - age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Ft. Sander's Regional Hospital. She was a member of Second United Methodist Church and Past Worthy Matron of May Chapter #24 O.E.S. Survivors include husband of 63 years, Alva Harmon; children, Cathy and Brian Horais of Knoxville, Steve and Monica Harmon of King George, VA, Judy and Sam Smiddy of Knoxville, Carol and Andy Beckwith of Charleston, SC, and Greg and Susan Harmon of Powell; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dudley, Rebecca Whitener, Chelsea Baxter, Lindsay Story, Shelby Harmon, David and Megan Smiddy, Thomas and Emileigh Harmon, Hannah, Rachel, and Leah Beckwith; great grandchildren, Ella and Ben Baxter, Nathan and Hannah Story, and Alva Dudley. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Friday with the funeral service to follow in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Chaplain Paul Trumpore officiating.
