Betty Carol Leonard

Betty Carol Leonard, age 85, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2024 surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Betty loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart. All that knew her, she welcomed with open arms; to many she was like a second mom. Betty lived well and loved well.

Betty was preceded in death by husband of almost 50 years, Walter J. Leonard; sister, Beverly Ault. She is survived by children, Diane (Steve) Shipley, David (Connie) Leonard, and Ginger (John) Gresham; special nieces, Valerie Ault and Lisa (Steve) Webb; grandchildren, Robert (Holly) McGee, Katie Leonard, Caleb (Andrea) Leonard, Garrett (Madison) Gresham, Seth Shipley, Samuel Shipley, Shelby Gresham, Cassidy Gresham, Emma Webb; great grandchildren, Silas McGee, Ruby McGee, Murphy Saylor, Callaway Gresham.

A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, 2300 West Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM meeting at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918 at 10:45am.
