Betty Lou Settle

Betty Lou Settle, age 91, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Betty was an entertainer at heart. She loved to sing, play the piano and the bass guitar. Betty was a member of the Sweet Adelines Smoky Mountain Harmony for several years. She was always an exceptional hostess to her family and friends, and also never met a stranger.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Clifford Settle; sons, Ricky Settle and Danny Settle; daughter-in-law, Teresa Settle; siblings, Doris Hill, Nadine Bolin, Clara Gainey and James Miller. She is survived by daughter, Lisa (Dan) Lovelady; grandchildren, Allison (Jerry) LaFollette, Joshua (Erin) Bennett, Margaret Hansen; great grandchildren, Shelby LaFollette, Caroline LaFollette, Isaac Arwood; siblings, Walter (Margaret) Miller, Jewel (Jerry) Cross, Jerry Miller; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Frances Hampton and Rita Holder. The family would like to thank UT Hospice nurse, Jalisa, for her care and support in the last few weeks.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 12th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service following at 7pm. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery Saturday, July 13th at 10:45am for an 11am service. Pastor Allen James officiating.
