Betty Lou Sewell

Betty Lou Sewell, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was a member of Island Home Baptist Church and retired from University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Office with 36 years of service. Betty loved to travel and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Leinart Sewell; aunts and uncle who raised her, Callie Leinart, Rosa McGhee and Walker Leinart; sister, Jean Bowles; brother-in-law, Clarence Bowles; and many other family members who have preceded her. Survived by nephews, Eddie Bowles and wife Karen, and Larry Bowles and wife Debbie; great nephews, Chris Bowles, Chad Bowles and wife Brittney; great-great nephews, Owen and Landon Bowles. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Family and friends will meet at Robbins Cemetery, 1004 Old Dutch Valley Rd, Clinton, TN 37716 for the 10 am graveside service.
