

Age 94, of Knoxville, TN passed away at home on December 23, 2021. She was a graduate of CHS Class of 1945 and attended the University of Tennessee.
Betty married Joe Brown Warwick on April 9, 1949. After their marriage, she was employed at the UTK library. Betty was an accomplished pianist, an avid gardener, and "Sweet Mimi" to five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Betty was a member of Doan's Sunday School Class and Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was previously superintendent of adult Sunday School at Second Baptist Church. Betty was a former member of Knoxville Akima Club and Holston Hills Country Club.
Preceded in death by husband, parents H.R.G. McCoy and Dixie Cobb McCoy, and cousin/best friend Freddie Bolton.
Survivors include daughters Rebecca Warwick, Betsy Warwick Roos, and Holly Warwick (Tony) Nix; grandchildren Zachary (Sarah) Roos, Tyler (Tiffany) Nix, Ryan Nix, Molly Roos (Dawson Black), and Nicholas (Shyanne) Nix; great grandchildren Lily Hayes Black, Grey and Ginger Roos, and Rhett Nix; brother E.G. (Babe) McCoy; and loving caregiver Amy Sexton.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, December 30 with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. in the Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home Chapel, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918. Interment to follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
