Whitworth, Betty F. 85 of Knoxville, TN passed peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a lifetime resident of Knoxville. Betty loved and adored her family and her dear friends. She was proud to be a homemaker, wife, mother and true southern belle. Betty will surely be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Pat W. Whitworth Sr. and brother-in-law, C. Louis Lofgren. Betty is survived by children, Dr. Pat W. Whitworth Jr. and wife, Lisa Zindel, Dr. Pamela Whitworth and husband, Jim M. Wells III and Melissa W. Tidrick and husband, James S. Tidrick Sr.; grandchildren, Dr. Patrick W. Whitworth III and wife, Dr. Elsia Yoo, Sam M. Whitworth, Brandon Melissa Wells, Kenzie Whitworth Wells, James S. Tidrick Jr., and wife, Jessica C. Tidrick, Anna A. Tidrick and husband, Joseph L. Peyton, Charlee E. Tidrick; great grandchildren, James S. "Trey" Tidrick, III, Trevor Tidrick, Tanner Tidrick, Reyna N. Peyton, Sadie Louis-Rosenberg; sister, Suzanne F. McNabb; nephew, Richard M. McNabb III; niece, E. Cary Carman and husband, Dr. John Carman; grand nephews, Ross Carman and Zachary Carman; extended and treasured family in Cartersville, Georgia. The family wishes to give special thanks to Etra and Robert Helms for their devoted and loving care during Betty's last years. And special appreciation to Cheryl Wagner for her long time family support and devotion. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 4th from 4-6pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home 2300 West Adair Dr. Graveside service will be held Monday, March 5th at 2pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
