

Bob Day, age 93, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Bob was the hands and feet of Jesus and blessed many people in the community with his acts of service. He was a member and Deacon of North Lonsdale Church of God for many years. Bob retired from Colombia Machinery after 20 years of dedicated service; and at age 70, he went back to school and became a certified locksmith until the age of 90. Bob owned and operated Days Lock and Key, keeping himself busy by helping others.
Bob was preceded in death by first wife, Marie Day; second wife, Carol Day; parents, Hiram and Joda Day; daughter, Debbie Haynes; brothers, John Ed, Harold, June, Bill, and Carl Day; sister, Georgia Day. He is survived by daughters, Cookie (Jerry) Taylor and Leann Tolf; grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Walton, Christi Rushing, Porter Tolf, Piper Tolf, Chris (Tamera) Haynes, Ashley Haynes; great grandchildren, Jada Walton, Braxton Walton, and Eli Taylor; sisters, Joyce Caldwell and Betty (Noah) Hamilton; several nieces and nephews; and Carol's children, James D. (Becky) Crawford and Amy (Phil) Trammel.
A visitation for Bob will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, with funeral service following at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Dunn officiating. A committal service will occur Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918.
