there's so many good times ive had with poppy throughout my 20 years of being alive. which one do i even pick?

he picked me up from school just about every day until i graduated from high school. ill always remember when he would take me to get french fries and let me play in the burger king playground after elementary school. and then we'd go home and watch tom and jerry on cartoon network. ill never forget that tie he would wear every christmas with the grinch and the blinking lights on it. his smile and his jokes also always brightened up the room.

ill always miss and love him very much. he was always there for everyone. im so sad that he's just... really gone. i never thought this day would come so soon. 





One of my earliest memories of Poppy was when we would re-enact the lift scene from Dirty Dancing. I'd run to him and he would lift me high like I was flying.  We love you so much, Poppy, and I'm not sure what we will do without you. You always brought a smile, a joke, a warm hug, and a dollar for the little kids. Our hearts are broken and we just want you to know how much we love you. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. Missing you... Melissa, Aaron, AJ, and Caleb. 💔❤💔❤

Poppy always made these funny faces when we would all 4 go out to the bar  my favorite thing with poppy was “ Hi poppy (he would kiss me on the check and say how are you baby) the when I left he would say ( kiss on the check by love you honey) He always loved to drink beer with his son. We are going to miss you poppy ( butch) so very much. Love you more!

Every time Poppy would see the Grand kids when they were little he would give them a dollar. Then he started to give the Great Grand kids a dollar. He was always there when you needed him. We all miss you Poppy. You will always be in our thoughts and in our heart forever. Love you Poppy.

He and I had this thing since I was a teenager where we'd be the last to hear about family plans or outings or get-togethers. For some reason we were always the last to hear about dates and times and such, and we'd always look at each other and shrug and laugh and say, "Nobody ever tells us anything." It was our thing.

Everyday when I came home from work, he'd say, "Hard day at the office, kid?"

His last words to me were, "Goodnight baby."

Poppy adored Arizona... the night of his death when she said goodnight to him, he told her that she was his baby girl. They would point at each other and give a hard stare all the time for fun, or poke each other... he played dog catch all the time where he would throw her dog stuffed animals and she would have to catch them. The week before he died, they made Arizona a fort in his bedroom. It was still there when he died.

sooooooo many memories. Which one do I pick. I cant pick just one so let me just say I will miss u so much butch. U have been in the family for sooo long its so hard to imagine u gone. Fly high on that mountain we love u always and forever
