Charles Earnest Perkins “Jack”, age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. Retired from Southern Railway where he was carman and welder. He was a loving husband and father and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Mattie Perkins. Survivors include wife of 50 years, Marie Perkins; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Carolyn Perkins. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 pm Sunday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. with Rev. Kent Williams officiating.
