On August 5, 2026, the world lost a cherished and radiant soul with the passing of Cherie Ann Adams, born October 12, 1942. She lived 83 years filled with devotion, creativity, laughter, and a gentle strength that touched everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
Cherie was a deeply caring and loving wife and mother whose kindness was reflected in every embrace, every encouraging word, and every thoughtful act. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where she shared her remarkable talents as a skilled craft maker, talented seamstress, and exceptional cook. She had a gift for creating beauty and comfort with her hands and generously shared those gifts with those she loved.
One of Cherie's greatest passions was ballroom dancing, which brought her joy. She carried herself with grace, energy, and a spark that lit up the room. She was known for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and unforgettable laugh that could brighten even the darkest day.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Julie Ann Adams and Jeffrey Scott Adams, as well as her many cherished friends from Northside Christian Church and the ballroom dancing community.
She was also a devoted animal lover throughout her life and treasured many beloved pets, especially Inky and Dusty.
She will be remembered for her compassion, her creativity, her joyful spirit, and the love she gave so freely. Her absence leaves a profound ache, but her legacy woven through memories, traditions, and the countless lives she touched will continue to shine.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Frits Haverkamp.
The graveside service will take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery.
Cherie will be missed beyond measure and forever remembered with love.
