Clara Mills Howe went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born on March 6, 1929, and was a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. Clara retired from Valley Fidelity Bank. She volunteered at St. Marys Hospital as a pink lady for 20 years. Clara loved her family, enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts, and gardening. She was a member of Inskip Baptist Church and the Praying Hearts Sunday School Class.
Clara was preceded in death by husbands, James Howe and Lewis Mills; son, Jimmy L. Ramsey; parents, Luther and Vesta Brown Knight; brothers, Clarence, William, and Kenneth Knight, granddaughter, Beth Ann Ramsey Bloom and granddaughter-in-law, Sara Ramsey. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Rena Ramsey; grandsons, Gregory, Jimmy A. (Beth), and Christopher Ramsey; 11 great grandchildren; great- great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy W. (Tootie) Knight; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends Monday, August 24th from 12-2pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service at 2pm with Rev. Mike Segers officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
