Critha was born on December 8, 1954, daughter of the late William Crit Franse Jr. and Martha Nadine North Franse. Throughout her life, she was known for being sweet, gentle, and selfless, a fruit of the Spirit. Her kindness reflected her deep Christian faith and love for others. She had a special heart for innocent people and animals and was always willing to put the needs of others before her own.
Critha made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ followed by baptism as a young girl in 1964. Her faith and love for Jesus Christ remained a foundation throughout her life.
Critha was the most selfless and best ever big sister to Valerie. She was also always so very proud of her niece and nephew, Leslie and Eric.
Critha had many special pets who loved her and whom she loved dearly. Among them were dogs Emily and Sarah, her dog nephew Astro, and most recently her special canine companion, Lincoln, who brought her great comfort and joy. She had a strong love for all animals.
Critha graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis. She enjoyed a long and respected career in both hospital and retail pharmacy. She was known for her compassion, professionalism, intelligence, and commitment to helping others.
Outside of her work, Critha enjoyed animals, music, and travel, and was a good artist. She was a devoted supporter of the University of Tennessee Volunteers sports. She faithfully followed all Tennessee sports and loved cheering for the Vols and tracking the accomplishments of VFLs past their college careers.
She is survived by her loving family: her sister, Valerie Franse Beecham; brother-in-law, Joel Beecham; niece, Leslie (Cole) Sands; nephew, Eric Beecham; cousin, Gary (Karen) Braden; and two precious grandnieces whose birthdays will forever be shared near Critha's own birthday, creating a special family connection that will be remembered fondly.
