David Leroy Paul

PAUL, DAVID LEROY - age 61, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at home. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and loved playing golf and fishing. He was a member of Old Beverly Baptist Church and served as Trustee for many years. Employed by Cherokee Distributing Co. for over 34 years. Preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Sarah Frances Paul; parents, William, Sr. and Laura Paul; brothers, William, Jr. and Eugene Paul; step-brother, Clarence Paul. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Shannon Paul; daughter and son-in-law, Janel and Aaron Burress; grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew Paul, Shannon and Alexis Burress; sisters-in-law, Linda Paul, Shirley Hubbs and husband Gary. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday with the funeral to follow in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Mike Hurst and Rev. Randy Carver officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel at 10:30 am Friday and go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11 am interment.
