Dean Elliott

Dean Elliott, age 74, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 1, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Dean was a loving husband, father and Papaw. After 37 years of dedicated service, Dean retired as a successful car salesman at the age of 62. In his spare time, he enjoyed cattle farming with his brother. Dean was an avid John Wayne fan and watched all his movies.

Dean was preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Frelia Elliott; siblings, Dave Hickson, Carter Elliott, Carl Green, Shirley Foust, Jewel Harman, Cody Evans, Harvey Kelly Elliott, Jr. and Shelby Jean Hickson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rita; daughter, Kristy Burr; granddaughter, Hannah Burr- who was the light of his life; siblings, Helen Thomas, Wayne (Connie) Elliott, Joe Inman, Steve Elliott, Mildred Viles, Kathy Green; sister-in-law, Lucy Hickson; brother-in-law, Pete Foust; and a multitude of extended family that loved him dearly.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service following at 7pm. Rev. Brown officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 pm on Thursday, March 6th at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918 for a 1pm graveside service.
