Dora J Dugan

Dora J Dugan, age 93, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. A longtime member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She worked at Ladies of Charity and was very active with Second Harvest Food Bank. Dora retired as a registered nurse from St. Mary's and University of Tennessee hospitals. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Dugan; parents, Bessie and Hank Johns; siblings: Norma Jean Johns, Ellis Johns, Larry Johns; daughter, Trish Woliver (Kim); grandsons, Alex Woliver and Sam Williams.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Burress (Ed) of Andersonville, TN; sons, Don Dugan (Julie) of Tucson, AZ and Paul Dugan (Janet) of Georgia; daughter, Claire Spain (David) of Lyles, TN; son, Michael Dugan (Allen Dykes) of Knoxville, TN; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Johns (Nancy); as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers through Senior Helpers: Heather, Paula, Tracy, Pam, Janet Johnson, and the many others for their care during this time.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Knoxville, TN 37918, on Friday, January 3, 2025, with a rosary service to follow at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM interment at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery on Monday, January 6, 2025.
