Elaine A Farrar

Farrar-Harkleroad, Elaine, age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was retired from TVA and Knox County Health Department. Preceded in death by parents, Emerson and Josephine Merritt; brothers, Willard, Ray, Roy and Burton Merritt; sisters, Opal Johnson, Jewel Snyder, and Gertrude Keener; sister-in-law, Johnnie Merritt. Survived by husband, Raymond Harkleroad; son and daughter-in-law; David and Mina Farrar; daughter, Patti Fournier; grandchildren, Daniel and Nathan Carroll, and Maya Farrar; sisters, Mattie Cox and husband Jack, Carlie Mechler and husband John; sisters-in-law; Mary Charles Merritt; many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5 – 7 pm Sunday with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel.
