

Hammer, Elizabeth Coker, it is with great sadness that her daughters announce the death of their mother, Elizabeth, age 90 of Corryton, on April 1, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Howard Hammer; parents, Albert and Montana Butler Coker; brothers, Ralph, Carl, Elmer, Paul, and David (Bud) Coker; sisters, Gladys Sowder, Dyllis Blair Highland, and Blanche Hankins Schnieder.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon Ordonez, Rebecca (Joe) Longmire, Molly (Jim) Prince, Nancy Hughes, and Amy (Bruce) White; sisters, Nita Webb and Jean Rouse; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family. Elizabeth was a member of Rutherford Memorial United Methodist Church; formerly a member of Arlington Baptist. She loved her Lord, her family, friends, flowers and words. She felt her highest achievement was her family but was also very proud of her work as a RN at UT Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 pm Saturday, April 6 at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with the service to follow with Rev. Steve Doyal officiating.
