Ermon Byerly, Jr., age 85 of Knoxville passed away on October 8, 2017. Mr. Byerly was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He retired from South Central Bell in 1989 after 35 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Byerly; parents, Ermon Homer Byerly, Sr. and Lena Byerly; and sister, Mary Walker. Survivors include his son Greg Byerly (Sherri); grandchildren: Kristen Crowell (Matt) and Josh Byerly (Shavanna Emert); great grandchildren: Miller Crowell and Lydia Barnhill; sister, Dorothy Fox; brother, James Byerly, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5-7 Pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Lynnhurst Cemetery with Keith Shown, officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the gravesite for the service.
