Hopson, Flora Deal (Towle), age 87, of Knoxville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. She was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church and retired from Tennessee School for the Deaf. She loved Gospel music and loved to sing for her Lord. Preceded in death by husband, John Hopson; parents, Albert and Fannie Towle; sister, Irene Fugate; brothers, Leonard, Cecil, Elmer (Tack) and George Towle.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Barree and Judy Hopson; granddaughter, Allison Morelan and husband Ian; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caregivers, Joyce Turner, Alice Jean Turner, Pam Turner, and Darlene Rightsell and also a special thanks to the staff of Tennova Residential Hospice.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 7 pm with the funeral to follow in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Jack Parrott officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
