Frances Dempsey Andes

Frances Dempsey Andes, age 98, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord, Dec 28, 2017. We rejoice that she is with the Father for eternity. Frances was the oldest member of First Baptist Church joining the church at age 13. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and “great-grand”. She spent life serving others and was a picture of God’s perfect love for us. She especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren with love as only a grandmother can. Her sweet spirit, smile and kindness will be missed by her family and all that knew her. She enjoyed shopping for bargains, cooking and working. From MAC, Valley Bank to when she retired from state jobs as secretary for Tennessee School for the Deaf and Lakeshore.

Frances is survived by her three children, Carolyn Andes Kincaid and husband Larry Kincaid, Jeannie Bess Andes Jenkins and husband David Jenkins (Birmingham, AL) and Dempsey Andes and wife Kathy Quillen. Grandchildren Tiffan Jenkins Wood and husband Rob Wood (Helena, AL) and Kipp Kincaid and wife Anessa Counce Kincaid. Two great grandchildren Courtney Wood and Camden Kincaid and many awesome nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of L & L Sweet Homecare for their loving compassion and care.

There will be a private interment Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make memorials to Meals on Wheels, 2247 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921 or First Baptist Church, 501 W. Main St, Knoxville TN 37902.
