With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Dewayne Bell, 70, who departed this world on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. A proud 1973 graduate of Rule High School, Gary dedicated over a quarter-century of his life in faithful service to the city of Knoxville, leaving an indelible mark on the community he loved.
Gary has reunited with his beloved parents, Ralph and Betty Bell; brother, Ernie Bell; grandparents, George and Edith Bell, Willis and Alice Cobb, in eternal peace.
Those left to treasure his memory include his loyal brother, Rodney (April) Bell; loving sister, Joye (Steve) Maples, along with their children who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Gary's life and legacy at a graveside service on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.
