George “Don” Rymer, age 80 of Knoxville, went to his heavenly home on September 19, 2015 at NHC Ft. Sanders. A loving husband, father and grandfather who loved watching his grandchildren play baseball, basketball and volleyball, loved to travel and boat. He was an avid VOLS fan. Other than his parents, George and Stella Rymer, he was preceded in death by sister Judy. Survivors: his loving wife of 57 years Gertrude “Trudy” Rymer; daughter Abby Lance (David); son Jeffery Todd Rymer (Dianne); grandchildren: Condreana Rymer and Derek Lance; brothers Daniel, David and Douglas Rymer, and many nieces and nephews; special friends Orion and Peggy Ambrister. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the service following at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Interment will be private on Wednesday.
