Mrs. Ginger "Ging" Jeanette Kitts Sharp

Ginger Kitts Sharp, age 68, of Powell, TN lost her fight with ovarian cancer on March 28, 2021. She was very active in 12 step recovery programs. Ginger and Nugent shared 30 years of marriage. She was a member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church. She is with the Lord, Jesus Christ. Ginger graduated Fulton High School in Knoxville, TN. She then attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and finished her college work at UNC Charlotte. Ginger was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She started her career at W.T. Grant in 1973 and opened her own business, Collection and Recovery in 1978-1986. She earned her Private Investigator License in 1989. She joined Bank of America in 1992 and worked her way up to Vice President. She later joined First Citizens Bank, then Capitol Bank followed by Apex Bank. Ginger was a member of the American Bankers Association. She was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Barbara Kitts; brothers, Marty and Gary Kitts; and nephew, T.J. Lewis. She is survived by husband, Nugent Sharp II; sister, Jennifer Lewis; sister-in-law, Jenny Sharp; mother and father-in-law, Nugent and Nancy Sharp; and niece, Jeanette Ferguson; and other nieces. Memorial service will be held Friday, April 16th at 3:00 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home 2300 W. Adair Dr. Knoxville, TN 37918. Rev. Phillip Groos to officiate. Committal service will take place Wednesday, April 21st at 3:00pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery.

Ginger was the light of my life. She had the most beautiful eyes. We met at a New Years Dance 31 years ago. She could see through any story to find the truth. She always laughed with you, never at you. She loved everyone and would always help others. She always did her very best at everything . She was the best part of me.
