Greg D Davis, age 63 of Corryton was born on November 11, 1955. After a faithful battle with Multiple System Atrophy, he received his ultimate healing and was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior, mother, Gerry Davis; father in law, Rev. Charles Harness and seven precious babies. Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Teresa Davis, children Joshua Davis and Haylea (Brandon) Bates, his pride and joys Braxton, Bentlee, and Hudson Blue Bates, father George Davis, brother Geff Davis, mother in law Barbara Harness, brother in law Wesley (Ginger) Harness, and several nieces and nephews. Also his much loved church family. Greg held many titles including award winning gospel singer, sunday school teacher, choir director, retired UPS employee, and friend; but most of all a child of God. Greg was a faithful member of First Freedom Baptist Church and sang baritone with Heartfelt, 3 4Thee, Crimson Ridge, and South of Heaven. Special thanks to Nancy and the rest of the Amedisys Hospice family. I worked many years loading Greg's package car and we had many conversations about life and our Lord. I am blessed that he was part of my life and by the faith that he not only shared, but demonstrated each day. My heart is sad for the family but rejoicing in the fact that his faith has now ended in sight with an eternal, face to face encounter with our Glorious and beautiful Savior.
Praise His Holy Name. Love and prayers.
