Harold Keith Cress

Sergeant Major Harold Keith Cress, (U.S. Army, Retired), 72, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on February 15, 2011. SGM Cress was born in Knox County, Tennessee on May 6, 1938. His parents, Mr. & Mrs. Harold E. Cress, of Fountain City preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Jean, of Tucson, his son, Justin and his children, Brooklyn and Lora of Knoxville and LCPL Chase Cress (Nicole) and their daughter Lexi Grace of Knoxville and Camp Pendleton, CA. He is also survived his sister Carol (Bill) Hay of Edina, MN and their children, Catherine (Tom) Gump and Andrew of Edina and Wallace (Beckie) Alexander and Per and Nico of Minneapolis, MN as well as several cousins in Knox County. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Tuesday with a Masonic service and funeral in Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel at 8 pm. Family and friends will meet at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 11:15 Wednesday for an 11:30 am graveside service with full Military Honors by Tennessee National Guard.
