Doug had a love for adventure and the outdoors. He once held his pilot’s license and enjoyed the freedom of flying. He was also an avid fisherman and spent many happy hours enjoying the peace and beauty of being on the water.
At his heart, Doug was a father and a friend who meant so much to so many. He loved his family deeply and took pride in his children and grandchildren. His love, guidance, and the memories he shared with them will remain a lasting part of their lives. He will always be remembered for the special place he held in the hearts of those he loved.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Harold Witt, and his son, Brian. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Delores; his son, Darrell (Christine); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his cousin, Randy (Elaine); and his aunt, Diane. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Doug’s faith, love of adventure, devotion to his family, and the memories he created with those closest to him will remain in their hearts forever. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has gone to his Heavenly Home and is now at peace.
“Until we meet again.”
