Helen Nelson Duggar, age 96, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. She was a member of Lonsdale Baptist Church. She was a retired Medical Assistant for Dr. George T. Novinger. Helen was an avid fan of Tennessee Volunteer Sports especially the Lady Vols Basketball. She was a true VFL and loved the Atlanta Braves.
Preceded in death by husband, Reece B. Duggar; parents, Harley and Nola Nelson; special aunt and uncle who raised her, Roy and Lizzie; 4 younger sisters.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Reeca and Johnny Thompson; nephew, Peri Marlow; best buddies, Gina and Ken, Faye and the late Gary King and Nean, Fred and Rita.
Family and friends will meet at the Rotunda at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 for the service at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2025. Pastor Marvin Carter will officiate.
