Ida Frances "Sancy" Hail, age 91, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. Her career began and ended at the University of Tennessee as Principal Secretary in Chemical Engineering. Sancy was beloved by the students. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and active in the Builders Sunday School Class. In her spare time, she never missed a Braves Baseball game. Sancy loved giraffes and Robert Tino paintings.
Sancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Ronald Hail, Jr. She is survived by her children, Eleanor Hail, Susan (Greg) Harmon, and James "Jimmy" Ronald (Camette) Hail III; grandchildren, Thomas and Emileigh Harmon; great grandson, Benjamin Harmon.
Family will receive friends Thursday, August 29th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service at 7pm. Graveside service will take place Friday, August 30th at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 11am, meeting at the graveside at 10:45am.
