Jack E. Edmondson, age 82, of Knoxville formerly of Maynardville, passed away at his home on October 31, 2024. He was a member and Deacon of Dotson Creek Primitive Baptist Church and attended Halls Primitive Baptist Church in later years. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railway with 34 years of service and currently served on the board of New South Credit Union.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Milton and Neal Edmondson who raised him; brother, J.M. Bailey, mother, Opal Glaser.
Survived by loving and devoted wife of soon to be 65 years, Marie; blessed with daughter, Lesia and son-in-law Tim Campbell; grandsons and wives, Justin and Amy Campbell, Jordan and Allison Campbell; special great-grandchildren, Leyton, Parker, and Landry Campbell; and special neighbors, railroad buddies, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends 2 - 4 pm Sunday with the funeral to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Elder Bill Berry and Elder William Rhymer will officiate. The graveside service will be 11 am Monday at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery.
