Dawson, James H., 90, of Knoxville, passed peacefully on February 3rd. Preceded in death by parents Ray and Rosa Dawson, brother Howard and daughter Peggy Louise. Jim is survived by his wife of 69 years Mae Ola Sammons Dawson, children Debbie and Doug Drummer, Rick Dawson, Mike Dawson and Pete Mars, grandchildren Rusty and Alyssa Drummer, brother-in-law Melvin Sammons, sister-in-law Norma Sammons Chandler and several nieces and nephews. Jim raised a wonderful family, served proudly in the Army Air Corps in WWII, worked for the Norfolk-Southern Railway for 37 years and travelled extensively in retirement. Visitation 2-3pm and service 3pm at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive, Knoxville, on Wed. Feb. 5.
