Day, James Thomas “Doc” age 86 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2012 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith. “Doc” was a truck driver for Associated Transport with 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parent Rev. James T. and Maude Day, wife Margie E. Day, sons David Glenn Day and Jerry Allen Day, brothers William, Jake and Bobby Day, sisters Margret, Gert, Reba, Hun and Mary. Survivors include son Steve T. Day of Knoxville, brother Ralph Day and wife Virgie of Powell, special grandson Brian Day and wife Melissa of Nashville, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7pm.
